All of Minecraft's consultants have gained practical, technical and operating experience during previous employment at numerous operating coal mines in a variety of roles, mostly culminating in senior management positions. The majority of the senior consultants hold statutory qualifications in their field of expertise.
Typical MineCraft assignments include:
Economic analysis and due diligence studies;
Feasibility studies and resource assessment;
Mine strategic options analysis;
Mine design and production scheduling;
Mining method evaluation and productivity modelling;
Mine equipment specialisation audits, appraisals and reviews;
Mine tender specification, review and contract preparation;
Project scheduling and project management;
Mine ventilation studies.
Over the years MineCraft have developed specific skills and in-house software programs which are aimed at solving Clients' needs in an efficient and accurate manner.
MineCraft Consulting Software includes:
Production Schedule Module - used
for calculating underground mine production schedules
from
one to thirty years duration. Specifically designed as a rapid evaluation tool to quickly appraise numerous options.
Economic Evaluation Module - used to calculate
the economic return on investment of mining
projects using discounted cash flow analysis.
Longwall Productivity Module - used for estimating
longwall productivity rates for both new
operations and existing operations. Also able to optimise specific longwall design aspects such as panel width, drum size, operating mode, etc.
Longwall AFC Power Demand Module - used to
analyse the power requirements of chain conveyor systems.
Development Productivity Module - used for
estimating development productivity rates in both new operations
and existing operations using new equipment or alternative processes.
Ventilation Simulation Module - used to assist
in rapid ventilation network analysis using the
proprietary ventilation simulation software VnetPC.
Cost Ranking Module - used for mine optimisation
by calculating the economic values of alternate
mining panels and zones.
In addition to in-house software, Minecraft personnel are experienced users of the following Proprietary Software:
Microsoft Office Suite;
Primavera Suretrack;
Autocad, Coreldraw;
VnetPC;
Belt Analyst.
